John's artistic journey is adorned with numerous honors, including SAA of the Year awards recognizing his exceptional work in waterscapes, landscapes, and portraiture. His talent has been displayed at esteemed venues such as the Business Design Centre in Islington, London and Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, where his playful drawing "Blair" was showcased. In 2006, he earned the title of Eastern Daily Press "Budding Artist" of the Year and had a successful exhibition titled
"Sea, Fun & Sun" at Gallery 19 in Ile de Re, France. Additionally, he has contributed to the renowned "How Did You Paint That" book series, sharing his insights with fellow artists

John works mainly in Oils but from time to time has also worked with Acrylics. After doing careful drawings of his subjects, he works quickly, layering colours on top of one another to create depth to his paintings. His work consists of portraiture, still life, landscapes and paintings produced from retro photographs. John’s paintings have an individual, period feeling to them.
